The Geoscience Education Camp is conceived over a meeting in Taipei to provide a learning experience for twenty students from the School of Science and Technology, Singapore. The 7-day-6-night education camp was held at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium at Kenting, Pingtung, Taiwan. During the camp, students experience various forms of learning relating to the natural and man-made environment in Kenting. The program includes site visits to the Nuclear Power Station and its outlet, Natural gas vents, and coral mountains that were uplifted due to tectonic movements. Within the NMMBA, students were given opportunities to visit exhibits, carry out experiments and experience a tour of the research facilities within the facility. Through this program, the SST students experience unique learning experiences that relate to the growth of corals in the area. Through this camp, students gained an in-depth perspective of the environment and its conservation.
